Tilburg EBT stop

Well this weekend I'm in Tilburg. We set off down to Dover on Wednesday night, to get the 8am ferry on Thursday. Unfortunately the ferry was delayed by an hour but we finally got to France by midday. The crossing was very calm thank goodness, I'm not very good on boats!

Once off the ferry we had a 3 hour drive through France, then Belgium and into The Netherlands. We arrived at the Dolfijn bowling centre around 3pm then checked into the hotel to get a bit of rest before I bowled at 9pm.

This tournament has different conditions to normal. Every left lane has a long oiling pattern and every right lane a short pattern. So thank goodness it is in a location within driving distance of the UK, I wouldn't have liked to try and get 10 balls on a plane!

I wasn't really on my game last night, in hindsight I shouldn't have really bowled. With two different conditions you have to really concentrate on what is going on and I really wasn't feeling alert enough after driving all day, and my scores reflected that! I got the opportunity to bowl all the equipment I brought and decide which balls looked the best ready for my squad today.

I have just got off the lanes now after a very frustrating six games. I felt like I bowled well and only made one bad decision on following the lane breakdown. But every slight mistake I made I was punished to the maximum. I think I have sorted out the problem now though as I had 257 last game using a Vapor Zone on the long and Fury Pearl on the short. I finished up only 59 over for the block, but I am pretty hopeful for my next squad tonight at 9pm.
